As 2019 comes to an end, I look back at all that has occurred. Some very good. Some not so good. I definitely had a roller coaster of a year and I made some major changes in my life. Both in my personal life and careerwise. At the start of 2019 I got very sick and spent months getting back to shape. I was reminded that none of us are immortal, we just have to make the most of the time we got. In August I got married to @cberntzen and that’s the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m so lucky to have a wonderful husband to share my life with 🖤 Soon I will walk a new path in my career and I’m truly looking forward to getting to know my new colleagues and doing more for my local community. I will miss my old colleaugues and associates, but fortunately we have social media and are able to keep in contact. So... as 2019 ends and 2020 begins, I know that my life isn’t perfect. I also know that no one’s life is perfect. None of us are. That’s perfectly okay. I don’t know what 2020 will bring. But I hope it will bring a lot of adventures and happiness for all of us. I’m not much of a new years resolutions type, the only thing I can do is try to be better than I were yesterday. I’m going into 2020 with a positive attitude. Things might not always work out the way we want them to, but we need to make the best of every situation. Me and my mum used to have mother-daughter disagreements back in the days when I was a teenager. In hindsight, it was basically my mum stating the truth and me taking my own sweet time coming around understanding what she was telling me. This is by far one of my favourite pictures of all times. I had no idea that we were photographed in this exact moment - but Darryl somehow captured the love and appriciation between me and my mum through the lens of his camera. This was taken about 20 minutes after my mum had shot a moose. I was trying to move close enough to shoot the same moose for a period of over 4 hours before that. As you can see in the background it was not an easy stalk and I was not able to get a clear shot. When I was close enough the forrest was too dense. We decided that I shoud push the moose towards the other shooters as daylight was beginning to fade. Question❓What is your ALL-TIME favorite hunting experience? 🦌Mine is this one right here. Not a trophy, just a deer calf - but damn how hard I worked to get it - and thats just why it’s my all-time favorite. It fell at the last light of the day, after stalking a herd about 20 kilometres in the Scottish highlands. I took the shot at a 248 meters distance and he fell instantly. I had to drag it back to our camp where we cooked some of the meat for dinner and slept outside in -10c for 3 nights.
